China sends ocean observation satellite into space

China has launched its third ocean observation satellite.
The Hay Yang (Ocean)-2C satellite was sent into space by the long Mach (Long Walk)-4B rocket from the Ciucuen Satellite Launch Center in the northwest of the country, Xinhua reported.
Developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, HY-2C will collect data about the ocean in general terms and link up with previously launched Hy-2B and HY-2D satellites for ocean observation.
The launch was the 347th mission of the Long March rocket series.
China sent 9 satellites into space last week.
